Shoprite Checkers vouchers are virtual vouchers — there's no plastic card, just a unique voucher number that you enter on the card machine at the till. Here's how it works:
Fill your trolley at any Shoprite, Shoprite Hyper, Checkers, Checkers Hyper or Usave store in South Africa.
When it's time to pay, let the cashier know you have a virtual voucher. Have your voucher number ready — it's in the email we sent you, and under My Codes in your Evopoints account.
The cashier will prompt the card machine (PIN pad). Type in your unique voucher number and the voucher value is taken off your total.
The voucher is used once and no cash change is given. If your basket comes to less than the voucher, ask the cashier to load the balance onto a physical gift card so nothing is lost. If it comes to more, just pay the difference with cash or card.
Plan a shop that's at least the value of the voucher, or ask for the balance to go onto a gift card — either way you get every rand. Vouchers can't be used at Money Market counters or Medirite pharmacies inside the store, so keep them for the main tills.
