What to Buy for Someone Who Has Everything in South Africa

We've all been there. Your dad's birthday is next week and the man already owns every braai gadget known to humanity — the rotisserie attachment, the Bluetooth thermometer, the custom leather apron. Your mom's house looks like a Pinterest board come to life. Your teenage nephew communicates exclusively in grunts and wants nothing except more screen time. So what on earth do you buy for someone who genuinely, truly, already has everything?

If you're Googling "what to buy for someone who has everything" at 11pm the night before a birthday braai, you're in exactly the right place. We've been helping South Africans solve this exact problem since 2013 — and the answer is simpler than you think.

◈ Why Gift Cards Are the Cheat Code

Here's the thing about people who "have everything" — they're actually the easiest people to buy for. You just need to stop trying to guess and let them choose. That's exactly what a digital gift card does.

• They pick what they actually want — no more returning gifts or pretending to love that scented candle.
• Delivered instantly by email — buy it at 11pm, they receive it before midnight. No shipping, no wrapping paper, no queuing at the post office.
• No wrong size, colour, or flavour — because you're giving them the freedom to choose.
• Send it as a gift — add a personal message and pick a themed design (birthday, thank you, congratulations). It arrives looking like a proper gift, not just a code in a text.

Now let's match the right gift card to the person you're buying for.

◈ For the Foodie

You know this person. Their spice rack is alphabetised, they've made their own biltong at least once, and they have Opinions about olive oil. Let them stock up on the good stuff.

◈ For the Gamer

Whether they're 14 or 40, gamers always want more credit. Don't try to guess which game — just give them store credit and they'll sort themselves out. Trust us, their wishlist is already longer than your arm.

◈ For the Traveller

This person's passport has more stamps than a post office. They don't need another suitcase or travel pillow — they need credit towards their next adventure or a ride to the airport.

◈ For the Pamper Lover

Some people would rather have a spa day than a diamond ring. If they light candles for fun and own more face masks than you own socks, this one's a no-brainer.

◈ For the Online Shopper

There's a Mr Delivery or Takealot box on their doorstep at least twice a week. They know every courier driver by first name. Feed the habit.

◈ For the Tech Person

They already have every gadget. But software subscriptions? Those are the gifts that keep on giving — literally, every month for a year.

◈ Still Stuck?

We get it — sometimes even with categories you're still not sure. The good news is Evopoints carries over 200 digital products from brands across South Africa and beyond. Gaming, food, fashion, entertainment, travel, software — if there's a gift card for it, we probably sell it.

Every gift card is delivered instantly by email, and you can send it directly to the recipient with a personal message and themed occasion design. No shipping delays, no physical card to lose, no awkward "it's still in the post" excuses.
